about esim21

what we do, what we don't, what we keep, what we can't refund.
what this is01
esim21 sells data-only eSIM profiles for use in 190+ countries. you pay over Lightning, you get a QR code, you install it on your phone. there is no account, no email, no recovery flow beyond the order token we hand you at checkout.
threat model02
we protect against: payment processors knowing your purchase, a leaked email list, a leaked phone list. we do not protect against: your carrier seeing your IMEI and traffic metadata (use a VPN or Tor for that), or your government compelling a carrier.
what we store03

we keep: the mapping between your Lightning invoice hash and the eSIM profile we provisioned for you, plus the ICCID. we keep it for 30 days so you can top up, then we delete it.

we do not store: your IP, your wallet pubkey, your email, your phone number, your name, your location.

what the carrier sees04
the same thing they see for any roaming SIM: your IMEI, the cell towers you connect to, the IPs you talk to, and the data volume. encryption only protects content, not metadata. that's a physics problem, not an esim21 problem.
refunds05
if the profile fails to install: full refund within 24h to a Lightning address of your choice. if your device successfully attaches to the network: no refund. we can't reverse what the carrier has already provisioned.
device compatibility06
iPhone XS (2018) and newer · Pixel 3 (2018) and newer · Galaxy S20 (2020) and newer · most recent flagship Android phones. carrier-locked devices are not supported — your carrier blocks third-party eSIM profiles.
payment07
Lightning only. on-chain BTC is not supported yet (sub-marine swap is on the roadmap). Cashu tokens from external mints are accepted in phase 2. no fiat, no cards, no PayPal.
